Mintel has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Systems Accountant to join our dynamic Head Office Accounts Department. This permanent position is a wide varied role and is well suited to an individual who has begun a career in accounting, likes IT, and enjoys working on projects. In this role you will gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace, having the opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Finance Systems transformation and ultimately become a super user integral to the wider Mintel teams.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • ERP Implementation Champion: Assume a leading role in the implementation of our new ERP system, meticulously testing and validating its functionalities. Craft comprehensive training materials to seamlessly guide users through the transition.
  • Understanding the different requirements of an ERP and helping define and develop processes that work well.
  • Technical Support Guru: Provide support to the Finance team on all system-related matters. Troubleshoot system issues, conduct user training, and maintain system documentation.
  • Identifying needs:support the teams to understand critical requirements and assist in managing the project and resources to resolve any issues. 
  • Risk management: Identifying, communicating and mitigating risks to planned timelines across teams.
  • Collaboration: working with multiple teams and leaders, supporting and managing cross-team timelines effectively.

To be considered for the role, candidates must:

  • A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Related Subject: Your background will provide a solid foundation for understanding financial systems.
  • Proven Experience in Systems Accounting: Demonstrate your proficiency in systems accounting, preferably within ERP environments, showcasing your ability to easily navigate complex financial systems.
  • Understanding and experience of working in a global organisation, including multi-currency aspects.
  • Have advanced Excel skills and worked with large datasets. You should be comfortable with using different methods to reconcile data and ensure accuracy.
  • Project Management Prowess: Your project management skills will be instrumental in driving our technical transformation forward. You'll excel at planning, organising, and executing projects to achieve our objectives.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Excellence: Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders will be paramount.
