About the role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer with experience in development of complex systems who will own the development of requirements and ensure that the products we develop are verified and validated against these requirements. This engineer will collaborate closely with software developers and play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our off-road autonomy features.

At Applied Intuition, you will:
  • Develop high-quality requirements decomposed from customer requirements to system and subsystem-level requirements
  • Decompose Operational Design Domain (ODD) elements, define their specific conditions, and develop behavioral and performance requirements related to these elements
  • Develop a Verification and Validation (V&V) strategy to determine the frequency and complexity of tests across various venues including simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), and field testing 
  • Develop test cases and test plans to implement the V&V strategy developed in order to produce evidence that the system meets the intended requirements
  • Support root causing of issues identified during testing and work with developers to resolve and further stress test issues to a resolution
We're looking for someone who has:
  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering on complex projects 
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience with functional decomposition, development of requirements, development of test cases and test plans, system and feature-level V&V: HiL, simulation, and field testing
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and is detail oriented
Nice to have:
  • Experience with agile systems engineering methodologies
  • Knowledge of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
  • Experience with development of autonomy software products for automotive, aerospace, or defense applications
  • Experience with at least one project across its full development cycle
  • Experience with requirements management and test traceability tools
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-882, ISO/PAS 21448, or ISO 26262

The salary range for this position is $118,000 USD to $220,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices.
