How you can help make a better world of work

As a key member of our IT Operations Team, our Systems Engineer will help us mature and scale our technology ecosystem that supports our internal operations globally.

You will develop, implement, maintain, and administer our SaaS Enterprise Applications, systems and services. You'll also be responsible for implementing good engineering practices and capability; including security, patching, networking, monitoring, scaling, automation and factors contributing to overall reliability.

The IT Operations Team thrives at the intersection of technology and people and is comprised of folks with strong technical, customer service, and communication skills. This role is perfect for someone who has a strong internal drive, like to solve problems, and can define their own priorities, requirements, and goals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Given the in-person support required for this role, it requires someone who can attend our Melbourne (Richmond) office at a minimum of 3 days per week. 

As part of this team of amazing humans, 

  • Provide 2nd level technical support and assistance in troubleshooting issues related to operations services like collaboration tools, identity and device management tools
  • Document system configurations meticulously to ensure quality, transparency, knowledge transfer, and business continuity.
  • Utilise Jira Service Management for timely and professional maintenance and update of activities.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience with Identity Management Platforms (Okta + AD), Apple Device Management (MDM) systems like JAMF
  • Assist in providing technical guidance and support to the end user support team.
  • Offer technical support for project build, test, and solution deployment activities.
  • Maintain high standards of change management control.
  • Conduct problem management and root cause analysis.
  • Work on system maintenance based on planned/scheduled proactive maintenance of Systems and Services.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve end-to-end service issues.

About You:

  • You have experience in a digital environment, with a proven track record in designing, building, and scaling cloud-based application environments securely.
  • Solid understanding of various IT technologies including servers, virtualisation, networking, MDM, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience working with a range of applications, including Active Directory implementation and familiarity with identity management platforms like Okta.
  • Open-minded and eager to collaborate with talented individuals, guiding while also being receptive to learning from others.
  • Background in Application Engineering and Support, with experience in managing SaaS solutions and applications.
  • Understanding of ITSM operational processes and procedures
  • Support security teams to maintain security posture and achieve industry frameworks and certifications (e.g., SOC, ISO).
  • Possess a growth mindset and resilience to thrive in a hyper-growth environment.
