As a Tax & Reporting Accountant joining our growing and collaborative Finance team in Copenhagen, you will make an immediate impact on the Nordics accounting processes, reporting to our Head of Accounting & Controlling. Your work will cover both day-to-day tax and reporting activities as well as forward-looking improvements and automation initiatives across the team.

In this role, you will contribute directly to maintaining tax compliance, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting scalable finance processes as HelloFresh continues to grow across the Nordics.

What You’ll Do (The Recipe)

• Audit and reconcile tariffs with importers to validate accuracy and reduce tariff expenses
• Analyze and manage VAT & corporate tax deductions for Swedish representation expenses, identifying opportunities for optimization and increased recovery
• Prepare quarterly corporate tax accruals and ensure timely submission of preliminary tax payments and assessments, liaising with third-party tax advisors
• Drive local transfer pricing compliance, including preparation of files and required submissions in collaboration with Group Tax
• Prepare local annual statutory accounts and coordinate with external audit teams for final approval and submission
• Maintain continuous tax compliance, preparing timely submissions and tracking relevant tax law changes to mitigate risk
• Prepare and lodge required governmental and regulatory statistics reporting filings
• Participate in half-year and year-end audit processes
• Support automation projects, tech/tool enhancements, month-end close process, and ad-hoc accounting improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring (Your Ingredients)

• Passion, drive, and excellent communication skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Strong working knowledge of Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian local tax law
• Experience working in the finance industry
• Previous experience in a fast-paced business; experience with physical goods and inventory is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with an understanding of data structures and complex systems/workflows
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Exposure to financial systems and ERP platforms
• Danish language required
