We are seeking a skilled and driven Tax Associate to join the Payoneer Corporate Tax Department. The role will focus on supporting tax compliance, planning, and reporting functions at the federal, state and local levels, as well international tax considerations. This position offers significant growth potential within the tax team and provides exposure to various aspects of corporate tax strategy and operations.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision (ASC 740) calculations and related financial reporting for senior management
- Assist the Company’s external tax provider with gathering data needed for preparation of the US federal, state and international income tax filings, as well as conduct the initial review of such returns
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual filings for indirect taxes such as sales and use tax, digital services taxes, and any other state/local obligations
- Prepare various tax-related filings (e.g. W-8/W-9 forms, tax residency certifications, etc.)
- Oversee the maintenance of detailed records of federal and state tax payments, refunds, audits, and notices
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred
- Tax Associate: 2+ years of tax experience in public accounting, “Big 4” or top national firms
- Strong analytical and technical tax skills, and the desire and willingness to develop
- Provide support during external and internal audits by preparing documentation and liaising with auditors to resolve issues
- Engage with regulatory authorities as needed
- Continuously improve the tax function and processes; specifically, the automation of key data inputs
- Perform tax-related research and assist with modeling scenarios for tax planning and forecasting purposes
- Stay up to date with changes in federal and state tax laws, interpreting and applying tax legislation to current and future calculations and filings
- Assist the tax team with special projects as needed

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
The annual base salary range for this position is: $80,000-$110,000
