Your role and the team: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Team Leader for our Battery System Assembly team. The battery system assembly team handles all power system assembly processes and delivers state-of-the-art battery technology for our jets. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional cell, managing day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and environmental targets, and effectively managing the performance and development of team members. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team, ensuring effective daily and weekly operations to meet production targets across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environment (SQCDPE). 
  • Manage day-to-day issues, escalating them appropriately through the business channels, and provide timely solutions and resolutions. 
  • Achieve weekly targets and demonstrate improvements in key performance metrics through a structured approach. 
  • Maintain a strong focus on the business objectives and be flexible to adapt to changing needs and priorities. 
  • Promote and ensure adherence to proactive safety measures and regulations (HSE), conducting regular safety cadence meetings and addressing safety actions within agreed timeframes. 
  • Ensure that all work in the cell is carried out in accordance with Lilium's standards and work closely with the quality team to deliver products at the required level of quality. 
  • Lead problem-solving exercises to improve product quality and actively participate in problem-solving initiatives. 
  • Coordinate the cross-functional team to ensure on-time delivery of products according to the production plan. 
  • Demonstrate a cost-saving mentality and challenge expenses when appropriate, seeking opportunities for cost optimization. 
  • Uphold and promote Lilium's role model behaviours, positively influencing team members, and provide mentoring, performance management, and development opportunities to the direct team. 
  • Maintain control of the production area by adhering to established standards and continuously seeking opportunities for standardization and improvement. 

  

Your Profile: 

  • You have successfully completed an apprenticeship or a degree in the electrotechnical field.
  • Several years of experience in manufacturing and/or repairing electromechanical components.
  • Experience in the safe handling of medium and high voltage systems up to 1kV.
  • First experience with high power battery systems, or high willingness to learn.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional operations and production processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in managing key performance metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Sound knowledge of safety regulations and protocols (HSE) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.
