Role and Responsibilities

As an Incoming Inspection Team Leader, you will work hands-on in a Lilium eAircraft GmbH organization environment. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Quality Management, you will be responsible to carry out, coordinate and lead Incoming Inspection Team during manufacturing and engineering activities in accordance with company internal processes, standard test methods (EN17025) and given ones by the Regulatory Agencies (EASA, FAA etc) to obtain and maintain the company approvals and certifications (EASA Part 21.G, FAA 14CFR Part 21.G, EN9100).

Your Day to Day:

  • Operational leadership of the Incoming Inspection team with up to 10 team members to ensure allocation of the resources in a time and cost-efficient way while obtaining high company quality standards. 
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the team and delegating the tasks to team members to secure the business needs. 
  • Drive a solution-oriented collaboration with associated production and engineering departments in practical problem solving, guidance and support to meet Supply Chain planning demands for release to use attestation acc. to aviation standards and laws. 
  • Operational Surveillance of Incoming Inspection Team and measurements, as well incoming inspection area. 
  • Managing awareness and defining priorities together with related stakeholders to have the required inspected materials and parts in time released. 
  • Establish and develop inspection plan templates.
  • Support SCQ to establish incoming inspection plans and attend delegated incoming inspection.
  • Handling of concessions and non-conformities, as well releasing FAI/ LAI
  • Establish and develop test methods and procedures. 
  • Establish and develop KPI´s
  • Coordinate day-to-day incoming inspection and support demands within the Supply Chain and Logistic teams. 
  • Active mentoring and training during day to day business of team members and associated departments in topics concerning Quality and Aviation Regulations. 
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical degree in Aerospace
  • > 5 years Leadership experience in managing operational teams
  • > 5 years of experience in Incoming Inspection in Aerospace
  • Technical experience about test methods and regulations EN17025 
  • Experience with Aviation Regulations, with a certain level of knowledge on process and requirements
  • Proactive, good communicator and able to gain credibility across all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong motivation to help build and shape your organization, structures, and processes. 
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
