Based in our office in Penrose in Auckland the HelloFresh’s Data Engineering team aims to support the HelloFresh ANZ operations by driving supply chain efficiency and enabling operational complexity through technical automation and insights. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a large impact on HelloFresh Australia & New Zealand customers and our supply chain operations.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, curious, and intellectually driven to lead a team of analysts and data engineers that play a pivotal role in realizing our business objectives by scaling our data pipelines and tool landscape. The ideal candidate will have experience leading data teams (e.g., Data Engineering, Data Science, BI, Analytics) and communicating highly complex data projects to organizational leaders. This opportunity is for a very technical role, so knowledge about Data Engineering pipelines is essential.

• Lead and own all data engineering processes to improve our supply chain performance
• Lead a small team of Data engineers 
• Identify new growth opportunities to scalably grow our operations and drive efficiencies
• Lead and grow a team to develop scalable data solutions and prioritize the team’s projects based on maximizing potential impact
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across markets (New Zealand, Australia, Berlin, London) and various supply chain and product initiatives
• Own the storytelling – communicate powerfully and effectively to stakeholders, promoting data and tool literacy
• Collaborate across teams and functions to help define the team’s project roadmap and strategy
• Provide domain expertise and share data knowledge with the wider team

• 4-5 years experience in a technical handson analytical or data role (Consulting, Finance, Business Operations, Analytics)
• Prior experience as a manager or team lead. Track record of upskilling, enabling, and developing a high-performing team
• Comfortable managing ambiguity, thrives in a fast-paced environment and enthusiastic about problem-solving 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills  and ability to build strong relationships with multiple senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners 
• Team player, willingness to learn and help share best practices with others.
