The Job

By joining the Finance leadership team, you will be an integral part of the development and success of our Finance team. You will be in charge of leading, managing, and coordinating the accounting and controlling processes and activities for the Nordics region. You will be based out of our Nordic head office in Island Brygge, Copenhagen and report to the Director of Finance.

You will…
  • Manage and control all financial and accounting matters across the Nordics.
  • Own the development of the accounting department (principles for bookkeeping, cost setup, approvals, accounting principles, etc)
  • Motivate and coach a diverse team of 5-6 and including General Ledger accountants, AP accountants and AR accountants
  • Plan the teams tasks and priorities, set annual targets, follow up on personal development plans, and ensure they receive proper training and resources
  • Drive process improvements, helping to streamline and automate processes in collaboration with other departments
  • Provide technical accounting advice to support the Finance function and the wider business
  • Develop and improve the use of ERP systems with Global counterparts
  • Support and collaborate with group tax on VAT and tax reconciliations 
  • Ensure compliance internally and externally on rules and regulations
  • Be accountable for monthly and year-end accounts, with corresponding supporting documentation
  • Deliver statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for all entities
  • Lead all audit engagements and activities for the Nordic entities
You have…
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • You are an accomplished people manager with experience in talent development. You have excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills that allow you to earn respect from your team, peers and partners
  • Experience in IFRS Accounting Standards & Accounting/ERP systems
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Experience leading audit engagements and activities
  • Passion, a data-driven mindset, hands-on way of working, problem solving skills, and an abstract way of thinking.
  • A solution oriented and empathetic approach  
  • Great communication skills in English. Fluency in any Nordic language is a plus.
