The Opportunity

The Team Lead, Business Development proactively contacts and generates outbound leads, qualifies them and works with the sales team to bring leads to closure. The Team Lead also partners with the Manager to onboard, recruit new hires and mentor existing reps to ensure continued growth and development on the team. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and creates new qualified opportunities by prospecting a list of target organizations
  • Conducts Business dealings in a professional and proactive manner
  • Becomes a trusted resource for internal and external contacts
  • Thoroughly vets leads to confirm they conform to company guidelines and to analyze their needs
  • Uses “Multi-channels” follow-up to help uncover new opportunities and nurture existing opportunities
  • Profiles the account and overcomes prospect objections 
  • Collaborates with the marketing research team and sales
  • Works at trade-shows and other marketing and sales events

What we're looking for

  • Clear and professional communications skills / excellent phone etiquette including the ability to speak with Executives and to ask thought-provoking questions
  • Ability to understand and successfully promote technical offerings and solution sets
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members and delegate work as appropriate
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative and team-oriented environment
  • Proficient with Salesforce or related CRM
  • Demonstrates UserTesting’s values through work product and within day to day team interactions
  • Prior sales experience preferred
