Teamlead Electrical Engineering (m/f/d)
We are looking for an experienced and driven Teamlead Electrical Engineering (m/f/d) to lead our PCB design team in Munich. In this leadership role, you will combine technical expertise in PCB development with people and process leadership. By blending deep technical expertise with strong team management and operational excellence, you will enable the development of intelligent, robust, and cost-effective PCBAs used in our smart fitness equipment.
Team Leadership: You lead, coach, and support a team of 3-4 electrical engineers, ranging from junior to senior level
Team Development : You foster a high-performance team culture built on trust, ownership, and collaboration, and guide your team with regular feedback and structured development plans
Goal Alignment: You align team priorities with product goals through effective cross-functional communication
PCB Ownership: You own the complete PCB development lifecycle - from ideation to mass production - ensuring compliance with safety, EMC, and reliability standards
Process Improvement: You define and continuously improve best practices, tools, and design workflows to enhance technical quality, cost efficiency, and manufacturability
Technical Leadership: You balance hands-on engineering with process leadership and drive collaboration across mechanical, software, test, and product teams
Quality & Impact: You ensure that our PCBAs are intelligent, robust, and cost-effective – powering the next generation of smart fitness equipment
Education: You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
Leadership Experience: You have 3+ years of experience in leading cross-functional or electrical engineering teams, ideally in a product-driven environment
Industry Expertise: You bring professional experience in hardware development, with a focus on PCB Design
Technical Expertise: You possess strong knowledge of motor control, embedded computing, and sensor integration
Tool Proficiency: You are proficient in Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or similar PCB tools
Regulatory Knowledge: You are familiar with EMC regulations and functional safety standards
Language Skills: You communicate fluently in English; German is a plus
Mindset & Motivation: You are passionate about driving change, fostering a coaching mindset, and raising engineering standards
Technical Onboarding: You’ve built a deep understanding of our product architecture, PCB standards, and development processes
Team Trust: You’ve established trust within your team and across key stakeholders
Project Ownership: You’ve taken technical ownership of the first PCB initiatives
Workflow Improvement: You’ve identified opportunities to improve workflows and implemented initial enhancements
Leadership Responsibility: You’ve taken over leadership responsibilities like 1:1s, planning, and technical decisions
