SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE  

Pure Storage is actively seeking a Service Account Manager (SAM), passionate about customer relationships and success, to drive customer satisfaction and be a trusted advisor who personalizes each customer’s Pure experience. As a key member of the Pure Customer Experience team, you’ll support our largest and most strategic accounts.

This role is responsible for owning the customer service delivery relationship, managing on-boarding, support, services, adoption, training, renewal and maintenance tracking, up-selling, customer satisfaction, and education. You will be the customer advocate, bridging communication between various business functions within Pure.

This role is essential to providing best-in-class service and support to enable successful deployment, delivery, and value realization of Pure products and services. You will have a deep understanding of the customer's environment, in order to proactively reduce support incidents, promote system health, and deliver effective solutions to both technical and non-technical end-users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Solution Design: Define and develop customized storage solutions leveraging the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Bring forward new ideas and innovative solutions which interface with storage architecture and systems.
  • Proof of Concept Implementation: Develop and implement proof of concept (PoC) projects to test and validate new technologies and approaches.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek out and suggest improvements to current systems and processes, ensuring the company stays ahead in technology trends.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Be a subject matter expert in your domains and provide advanced support for complex issues working closely with delivery teams and customers.
  • Training & Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training and handover sessions to delivery teams to ensure proper understanding and use of new solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of architectures, configurations, procedures and delivery guides.
  • Continuous Improvement: Be a self starter capable of staying current with industry trends and new technologies.
  • Invest in yourself: Embrace the opportunity to learn new skills and get certified.
  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, working effectively with colleagues across various departments to achieve common goals.

 

TECHNOLOGIES

Pure Storage is looking for a candidate with a consultative approach and exposure to some of the following technologies covered by Global Professional Services Engineering. 

  • Automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PowerShell, and shell scripting
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of storage technologies and protocols (SMB, NFS, S3, Block)
  • Networking and SAN infrastructure
  • Security/Firewalls/Ransomware/Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity
  • Multi-vendor server and storage platforms performance tuning experience
  • Storage and compute virtualization such as Hyper-V and VMware ESX
  • Monitoring & Observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, etc
  • Data Protection strategies and technologies.
  • Experience of planning, managing and implementing Data Migration. Migration technologies such as Cirrus/LVM/vMotion/Parsec/DataDobi/Komprise are advantageous
  • Contribution on data migration and backup solutions for RFPs, RFQs and RFIs
  • Preparation and delivery of technical and architecture solutions
  • Experience of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PowerShell, and shell is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of SMB, NFS, S3, Block protocols
  • Networking and SAN infrastructure
  • Security/Firewalls/Ransomware/Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity
  • Multi-vendor server and storage platforms performance tuning experience
  • Storage and compute virtualization such as Hyper-V and VMWare ESX
  • Knowledge of storage architectures and protocols (FC, iSCSI, NAS, S3)
  • Linux & Windows OS running NFS and SMB file systems
  • Disaster Recovery, Replication, Backup (Veeam/Commvault/NetBackup/SRM/Zerto)
  • Pure Storage FlashArray / FlashBlade / Active Cluster / ActiveDR and other Pure product knowledge is advantageous but training will be provided
  • Monitoring & Observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, etc.
  • Optional travel to the prospective global sites as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT architecture, automation, scripting, and implementation
  • Certifications: Candidates with past or current certifications are favorable but not essential
  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages
  • Customer Focus: Customer-focused approach with strong motivation to deliver high-quality results
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Time Management: Prioritize your own workloads and working patterns which empower you to be your most productive
  • Communication: Good communication skills with the ability to interact with, motivate, influence and be able to present to stakeholders at all levels. Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
