About the role

(We are hiring for all levels of experience.)   We’re looking for a technical artist to support us in the creation of virtual worlds for autonomous vehicle simulation. At Applied Intuition, you will develop a pipeline for asset creation and contribute to the overall visuals of the environment. This position will join an existing team of talented engineers and artists with backgrounds in autonomous systems, robotics, gaming, and consumer products.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

• Create tooling to assist designers in building libraries of accurate three dimensional models for objects encountered during normal driving scenarios
• Develop complex logic inside real-time engines
• Work closely with simulation engineers to ensure that our generated models provide sufficient fidelity for simulation

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience creating environments used in shipped products
• Strong expertise in at least one 3D modeling tool (e.g. Maya/Houdini)
• Strong experience with Unreal Engine
• Solid understanding of Python and game pipelines
• Strong grasp of shaders and real-time game engine logic
• Experience with proceduralism

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in creating virtual worlds for AV simulation
• Expertise in photogrammetry and similar approaches to recreate environments
• Houdini experience
• Experience with other real-time engines (e.g. Frostbite, Unity)
• C++ experience

The salary range for this position is $65,000 USD to $400,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices.
