You’ll be working as part of the Product and Technology Team within OVO Retail and will be at the heart of enabling the transformation to a digital at scale, customer centric business with intelligent operations powered by unified, modern technology. You’ll champion customer excellence and be empowered to make a difference on a global scale through enabling our Plan Zero objectives.  

You’ll be part of the product and technology community  at OVO working closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers to build products and services that help our customers decarbonise their homes.

This role in a nutshell:

You will be embedded within one of our Agile Product Teams helping to deliver high quality outcomes for our members, and play an active part in shaping our products and services.  

Your direct reporting line will be into one of our Product Leads, who will support your development within your specialist career path and give you access to a network of highly skilled PMs and BAs within OVO and our strong internal community. 

You will have hands-on experience as an Agile Business Analyst having worked on a range of products and features as part of an Agile Scrum team. You’ll understand the importance of customer experience and delivering measurable value, and be able to simplify the complex whilst working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.  

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Working with the Product Manager to understand upcoming roadmap initiatives.
  • Using research and analytics data to help inform and validate requirements. Analysing and drawing insights from large datasets
  • Working with UX, Subject Matter Experts and Software Engineers to undertake analysis and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Using your verbal, visual and written skills to create high quality outputs from high-level concept sketches to detailed technical diagrams, user story maps, user stories and test criteria.
  • Use your knowledge and detailed analysis to inform the behaviour of products. Communicating complex or technical requirements in a simple, understandable way to stakeholders at all levels..
  • Support the Product Development Team ensuring delivery of the Product Roadmap, understand the product deeply its purpose, behaviour, the technology used including APIs and data. Be an expert for the Product.
  • Work with the Product Development Team to maintain a quality Product which delivers on its mission and participate in planning, stand ups, refinement and demos.
  • Actively participating in OVO’s Product and Business Analysis community, gaining knowledge, developing your skills and promoting a culture of collaboration.
  • Sharing knowledge and participating in peer:peer coaching

  • Formal training in agile delivery methodology such as certification as a scrum master or product owner (desirable)

We’ll pay you between £60,000 and £65,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
