Office Policy: Hybrid. Expected to be in the respective office (London, Amsterdam, Berlin or Munich) at least once a week. #LI-Hybrid.

 

About the Role:

The EMEA Field Enablement team ensures Go-To Market organisation has the processes, skills and technical capabilities required to engage with our customers across the journey. The ideal candidate has expertise in technical field enablement and adult learning principles, coupled with a genuine passion for Data and AI technologies. 

In this role, you will assess and enhance the skills necessary to elevate the overall learner effectiveness in the field, specifically for our Field Engineering & Professional Services teams, as well as some support for the Sales org. You will lead cross-functional projects, whilst leveraging strong program management skills. You will utilise your strategic mindset to adapt and evolve priorities, drive performance and productivity, resulting in the strong cultivation of relationships across the internal technical community. 

This role reports to the Global Director of Technical Enablement for Field Engineering. 

 

The impact you will have:

  • Partner closely with Field Engineering leadership, Sales Enablement & other stakeholders to discover, validate, prioritise, and scale technical enablement initiatives. Serve as a trusted advisor to the regional stakeholders.
  • Drive global technical enablement strategy through innovative programmes, covering analysis, design, development, implementation, and reporting oversight. 
  • Contribute to the global roadmap by aligning programmes with the regional strategic priorities. Help develop unified enablement programmes tailored to regional audiences while maintaining global relevance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to keep up-to-date with a fast-evolving Databricks platform, product, messaging, capabilities, and new processes.
  • Coordinate and facilitate enablement sessions, workshops, and other launches in the region for a technical audience. 
  • Incorporate best practices and industry trends to enhance enablement programmes to boost field productivity.
  • Establish effective assessment methods to gauge the effectiveness of enablement programmes. Continue to evolve the enablement and training solutions at Databricks. 

What we look for:

  • Deep experience in developing/delivering and programme managing training & enablement, ideally in a Tech / Data focused company. 
  • Experience running large-scale internal technical enablement programmes for a technical audience (i.e Pre-Sales / Post-Sales Architects). 
  • Can translate insights into strategies and provide data-driven solutions to the internal Field Engineering organisation. 
  • An understanding of the technical landscape, able to converse and work closely with a technical audience. Ideally an understanding of the ‘Data’ Tech environment. 
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced dynamic environment, able to manage competing priorities, manage ambiguity, and stay flexible through growth and change.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, coupled with a strong executive presence and the ability to effectively influence and engage large audiences
  • An understanding of the competencies, processes and nuances associated with a technical platform-as-a-service sales and delivery motion.
