Right now we are looking for a Technical Localization Project Manager to join our Localization Team. The team is responsible for managing and operating all projects and operations around localization at Elastic.

You balance critical thinking on achievement of project goals with hands-on delivery to ensure what needs to happen today gets done. What You Will Be Doing:
  • Support Localization strategy and own a portfolio localization projects with a technical focus and tied to quality and testing
  • Partner closely with the web team to support automated workflows, identify and resolve localization issues on the website, and maintain a standard of quality in web and localized content
  • Contribute to and work in translation management tools, specifically Jira, Memsource, Smartling, and other TMS systems
  • Engage directly with the localization vendor to manage solution-driven projects to improve and optimize automation and efficiency between teams, tools, and systems
  • Drive high quality output from localization vendor and system integrations through communication and timely input
  • Collaborate and partner with technical and non-technical teams
What You Bring Along:
  • Technical expertise and knowledge of the localization industry, specifically deep technical knowledge of workflows within and across different tools and systems; as well as localization standards and technology
  • Proven track record in engineering and/or technical project management; specifically TMS management (e.g., Phrase, Smartling, GlobalLink, SDL WorldServer, etc.)
  • Experience with language technology systems (CAT/TMS/MT), specifically Smartling, and knowledge in common exchange formats - JSON, XML, CSV, IDML, INDD, PDF, SRT, MP4, etc.
  • Experience working in a CMS and have an understanding of markup languages such as HTML with the flexibility and ability to learn new technologies
  • Solid skills in programming languages, preferably JavaScript, and familiarity in the following web technologies: React, Node.js, GraphQL, REST API
  • Advanced skills with regex and familiarity with SQL (SQL Server/Postgres) and/or GraphQL
