Pinterest is looking for a Technical Program Manager. This role is responsible for enabling advertisers and sellers to drive success on the Pinterest platform, through the adoption of priority products and the development of new / innovative best practices. The Technical Program Manager will closely partner with cross-functional leadership in sales, product, and engineering. This is a multi-faceted, fast-paced job in a start-up environment so flexibility, a data-driven mindset, a strong work ethic, and a good sense of humor are a must. The right candidate will be a strategic thought leader who is driven by learning and solving ambiguous problems. 

The Performance Solutions team sits within the Global Sales Strategy (GSS) organization. Performance Solutions delivers through strategic guidance, operational excellence and technical expertise to improve the effectiveness of advertising campaigns resulting in increased client ROI. We work to understand, innovate, and scale cross-functional workflows. We are responsible for measuring process impact, making our business more efficient with consistent execution while embarking on building the next generation of data-driven best practices.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and define the strategy and roadmap for a technology program.
  • Drive and scale execution on multiple program and project deliverables, collaborating across cross-functional teams, including product and engineering.
  • Develop solutions and frameworks to enhance program efficiency based on identified problems or organizational needs.
  • Identify key challenges faced by sales teams, advertisers, and cross-functional partners, proposing effective solutions aligned with program objectives.
  • Utilize technical and domain expertise to make design and architectural decisions, performing technical tasks, including code.
  • Define success metrics and track the evolution, adoption, and impact of the program, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Provide regular reports on desired metrics and SLAs to cross-functional partners and leadership.

Functional Expectations

  • Proactively respond to ambiguous problems and lead efforts towards effective solutions.
  • Inspire and influence cross-functional teams to achieve program goals.
  • Demonstrate a curious and independent learning mindset.
  • Possess domain expertise in Technical Program Management, including a solid understanding of the Engineering teams landscape.
  • Technical background with proficiency in coding, SQL, and Presto Query logic.
  • Experience with online advertising is a nice-to-have, as well as a background in software engineering.
