SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

Our interns contribute to the success of Pure! As a Technical Project Management Lab Intern, you'll be the liaison between our Lab and Engineering Managers on lab-related projects for NPI, Sustaining, and efficiency improvements. Deliverables during this internship will include: 

  • Understanding the requirements to break down the tasks and dependencies, 
  • Documenting and communicating information in conjunction with our TPMs and Engineering Managers, 
  • Helping our System Software Managers with hardware deployment planning, including but not limited to creating a spreadsheet with the system configuration plans, such as the expected power and network consumption, iSCSI vs FC configs, standalone systems vs replication nodes, etc.
  • Updating all necessary parties to ensure the system configuration and efforts between our Engineering teams and lab/datacenter are aligned, and 
  • Tracking against the established plan.

Pure’s intern projects are set up to enhance an individual's technical skills, support overall professional development, and give a taste of what it's like to work at Pure.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program in Computer Science or a related field with an expected graduation date in or after December 2024 
  • Experience with project management tools (i.e. Google Sheets, Smartsheet, Jira, RAS) preferred 
  • Previous enrollment in engineering project management coursework a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong organization and leadership
  • Initiative to meet deadlines and deliver high quality results without supervision 
  • Able to work 12 consecutive weeks full-time during Summer 2024
  • Must be willing and able to workin-person in an open office, team environment 3 to 4 days of the week. 
    • As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present as outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy. There will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

The monthly base salary range is: $8,500 – $10,000. Salary ranges are determined based on academic degree at the time of offer extended. This role may be eligible for housing assistance and/or travel bonus.
