Job description

For our ambitious team in Moss, we are looking for a Technical Quality Coordinator. Working in the Food Safety and Quality assurance team at HelloFresh, you take a leading role in ensuring that our ingredients are of the highest standards when arriving in the warehouse, while also being responsible for doing inspections in our warehouse to ensure compliance.

We are looking for a Technical Quality Coordinator who will take a hands-on approach to the maintenance and continuous improvement of both our food safety management system and product quality control processes. Reporting to the Head of production, you will conduct quality control, as well as provide guidance within food safety standards to a high-functioning team of quality controllers. As part of the Food Safety & Quality Assurance team, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive high quality and safe meal kits they feel excited about serving to their families. The job takes place during our inbound hours, which requires Saturday work.

You will…
  • Conduct quality control inspections during Receiving at the DC to ensure product specification adherence
  • Perform regular inspections on fresh produce, namely vegetables, fruits and herbs
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Team to achieve quality targets and ensure compliance
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams in cases of product non-conformance
  • Coordinate product sorting initiatives with the QC team
  • Implement processes and train teams for quality standards and food safety topics
  • Conduct supplier visits to pre-approve outbound quality checks of ingredients
  • Ensure conformance to HelloFresh standards, BRC Storage and distribution requirements, HACCP principles, Food Safety regulations, GMP, including equipment and environmental sanitation by performing GMP checks and internal audits
  • Lead the pest control internal audit, to avoid the risk of any pests being present on site
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures (e.g. managing FIFO, leftover food, communication processes)
  • Perform glass and plastic inspections, to ensure that foods and ingredients are safe and will not injure end users
  • Be responsible for the calibration of equipment of thermometers and scales for QC use
  • Support on the destructive sampling of high error runner products
You have…
  • High quality mindset coming from previous experience within QC control
  • You don’t shy away from a challenge and are able to perform in a fast-paced and continuously changing work environment
  • You’re proactive, ambitious, an excellent problem-solver, and excel in decision making
  • Fluent in English and preferably Norwegian
  • Background within the food, pharmaceutical, or similar industry with high-quality standards, fresh produce knowledge is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
