Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Telehealth Veterinary Technician to join our Healthcare Team. Come join our growing organization and be a part of revolutionizing the virtual care industry! Join a team that cares deeply about improving pet health compliance and providing best in class customer service for both the pet parent and veterinary community. The schedule for this position will be Saturday-Wednesday 4:00pm - 12:15am EST.

What You'll Do:

  • The Telehealth Veterinary Technician will participate and champion the support and education to Chewy's pet parents on products and services that help animal health and wellbeing.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on companion animal health and wellness for Chewy Health.
  • Participate in program development and enhancing training procedures.
  • Identify and triage platform improvements and support innovative advancements.
  • Collaborate with Chewy Health team members on the development of current and new services and products.
  • Candidates must be willing to commit to working 40hrs/weekly
  • Chewy offers full training and necessary materials for the vet tech to support and provide effective communication with pet parents efficiently.
  • Chewy offers holiday pay on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

What You'll Need:

  • Active Vet Tech License / Certification (CVT, LVT or RVT)
  • A Veterinary Technology associates or bachelor’s degree from a NAVTA and/or AVMA-CVTEA accredited program, or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ years of small animal veterinary experience or equivalent industry experience.
  • Must have proficient computer skills as this will require interacting with customers and Chewy team members remotely through an online platform.
  • Someone who embraces forward thinking and curiosity.
  • Has exemplary listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask comfortably.
  • Is comfortable collaborating with other veterinary technicians, veterinarians, utilizing a team-oriented environment.
  • Is passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, self-starter environment.
  • Have access to high-speed internet and additional back up WiFi via hotspot.
  • Have a designated working space that is quiet and free from disruptions.
  • Minimal travel required.
