We are a growing team looking for a Tender Manager II in the Pricing department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our Milan office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO …

The pricing team is essential in shaping and implementing pricing strategies tailored to the Italian market to enhance profitability and competitiveness. Our mission is to deliver optimal pricing through rigorous analysis, innovative product development, and strategic process improvements. The team is responsible for crafting pricing strategies, ensuring their implementation, and continuously monitoring performance.

As a Tender Manager II, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing pricing strategies specifically for the Italian market. You will collaborate closely with Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams to ensure that pricing strategies align with market demands and company goals, while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.

• Data-Driven Insight: Dive deep into data, identify opportunities for improvement, and present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders. Maintain and optimize data models, create BI dashboards, and use advanced analytics to support the Pricing Team’s objectives.
• Strategic Execution: Develop and execute pricing strategies that enhance profitability and competitiveness within the Italian market. Monitor and analyze pricing performance, making necessary adjustments to meet profitability targets.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Procurement teams to ensure pricing strategies align with market demands and comply with local regulations and company policies. Act as a liaison between the pricing team and other departments to ensure strategic alignment.
• Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market and competitor analyses to identify opportunities and threats. Adjust pricing models in response to market conditions and competitive actions.
• Operational Support: Be resourceful and adaptable, supporting various initiatives across the business by working with cross-functional stakeholders. Support pricing planning processes by providing clear insights into historical and forecasted pricing performance.
• Empowering Teams: Passionately democratize data and empower your team by providing actionable insights and fostering collaboration across the organization.
• Innovation and Improvement: Identify and leverage external data sources to enhance understanding of sennder’s performance and market trends. Continuously seek and implement improvements in pricing processes and analytics.

• A graduate degree in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a quantitative/analytical role, ideally within tech, solutions consulting, or logistics.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing pricing strategies, particularly within the Italian market or similar regional focus.
• Experience working in a pricing department and knowledge of the logistics/transportation industry are pluses.
• Strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets, SQL for analyzing and interpreting large datasets to deliver actionable insights. Python/R experience is a plus.
• Experience with Business Visualization tools, with LookML experience being a plus.
• Familiarity with ETL processes; experience with tools like Fivetran and dbt is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and optimize pricing performance.
• Ability to self-serve, investigate, and gather necessary data independently to drive insights and improvements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information quickly, highlight key takeaways, and communicate actionable insights clearly and concisely.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment on strategic goals.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• A self-starter mentality with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
