The theatrical marketing team manages campaigns to support Crunchyroll’s theatrical marketing slate. From ideation to execution, the strategies we develop are critical to driving awareness for theatrical releases, growing box office and extending Crunchyroll’s flywheel.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Director in Spanish-speaking Latin America, you will play an important part in managing theatrical marketing campaigns tailored to the Spanish-speaking Latin American market. You will create marketing strategies that boost awareness and improve ticketing revenue and involves overseeing and monitoring theatrical campaigns across traditional, digital, and new platforms.

About you:

This role demands a robust background in Theatrical Marketing in Latin America, along with demonstrated, collaboration, and skills.

  • 8 years marketing experience in LATAM/ Mexico region

  • 4 years experience in the theatrical industry within the Spanish-speaking Latin American market.

  • Demonstrated experience managing marketing plans, timelines, and budgets specifically tailored for Latin America.

  • Possess a creative mindset and to drive strategic decisions in the Spanish-speaking Latin American context.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with an emphasis on understanding the nuances of the Spanish-speaking Latin American market.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Sony Pictures LATAM team to formulate the overarching release strategy, ensuring that all tactics align with the success of the theatrical campaign in the Spanish-speaking Latin American market.

  • Lead and coordinate theatrical campaigns throughout the theatrical release window, including tasks such as campaign preparation, creative asset requests, project and IP management, venue selection, and media optimization for expanded reach and conversion.

  • Manage budgets and timelines, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are informed of any changes and that task deliverables are met as per the Spanish-speaking Latin American market requirements.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to strategize and oversee campaign execution across various channels, including TV, OOH, and paid media, specifically tailored for the Anime Latin American audience.

  • Foster collaboration with Crunchyroll’s Global theatrical team and with Sony Pictures Latin America on campaign components and marketing plans, ensuring alignment with the overarching theatrical campaign strategy. This collaboration encompasses various stages, from in-production content and trailer launches to campaign strategy sharing and primary campaign asset distribution.

  • Craft and regularly update specialized theatrical reports, focusing on campaign outcomes and box office results tailored to the Spanish-speaking Latin American market.

  • Collaborate with other departments within the marketing team, such as brand, publicity, research, data, and partnerships, to gather insights and input for strategic direction, thereby informing planning and strategy for the Spanish-speaking Latin American market.

  • Stay attuned to theatrical and competitive market trends in Latin America, communicating findings to make necessary adjustments to plans.
