Trade Marketing Manager - European Markets
As part of the Trade Marketing team, you’ll play a key role in bringing the SumUp brand to 4,000+ stores across Southern Europe. We’re an enthusiastic group of people nested within the Retail Acquisition channel. Our role is to manage the in-store execution of all our products and develop winning promotional strategies for 150+ different retailers in Consumer Electronics, Cash & Carry, Office Supply and other verticals. Together, we devise innovative strategies to boost SumUp’s availability and rotation at store level. We’re looking for an experienced Trade Marketing Manager to help us drive our expansion strategy within Southern Europe, improving our shopper understanding and capturing unique market opportunities in the retail space.
What you’ll do
- Define and execute trade marketing strategies for Italy, Spain and Portugal, including best-in-class execution and optimal physical availability of SumUp in the consumer electronics retailers
- Define tactical and annual plans for Key accounts in collaboration with the Business Development Managers (BDMs)
- Ensure regular project management setup for key execution initiatives (ie. Product Launches, In store execution, Trainings, Field visits)
- Support and closely collaborate with Southern Europe BDMs in order to maximize the marketing and trade marketing plans’ impact, as well as capture additional commercial opportunities across these markets
- Co-develop and implement the best trade marketing practices including business processes and systems in collaboration with other trade marketing teams in the European market
- Develop and execute sales and trade marketing strategies that drive revenue growth in the region
- Manage a field team of 3 National Coordinators and more than +10 Merchandisers to achieve established targets
You'll be great for this position if
- You have an established and proven experience in a trade marketing, preferably in FMCG or Consumer Electronics and working with European Markets
- You are highly skilled in project management, with great focus in terms of delivering projects on time, on strategy and on budget
- You have demonstrated experience developing and implementing trade marketing strategies and effective tactical plans in a retail environment
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Dynamic scenarios, new problems and working with multidisciplinary teams excite you
- You have the ability to motivate and inspire teams with your natural servant leadership style and great people management skills
- You are fluent in English (Italian or Spanish languages are a big plus!)

This position is on-site, preferably in Berlin but we are also open to consider London-based candidates (we have a lovely office in Covent Garden).
