Deliveroo HOP launched in September 2021 and is Deliveroo’s speedy grocery delivery service. Our mission is to deliver groceries to customers in as little as 10 minutes - from the weekly shop, to a last minute dinner party or a late night snack. Working with trusted grocers, Deliveroo Hop promises to bring customers the very best products at lightning speed. 

 

Deliveroo HOP in Hong Kong operates across four sites (Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territorities), delivering groceries to customers in as little as 15 mins. We’re looking for people with an exceptional drive and entrepreneurial spirit to join the team, and help us build the leading speedy grocery delivery service in the market. The Role

As Vendor Manager, you will own the relationships with some of our biggest and most strategic vendors to shape HOP’s customer value proposition. From selection management and ranging decisions, to operational optimisation and seasonal event planning, the role of Vendor Manager provides a broad and exciting introduction to online retail. You will:

 

Strengthen partnerships with our strategic vendors to: 

  • Define and shape product range; managing seasonal range selection, negotiating exclusive SKUs;
  • Negotiate promotional funding to offer customers great value on the products they love; 
  • Enhance operational efficiency to ensure best in class product availability for customers and facilitate seamless operations at our HOP sites; 
  • Conduct in-depth performance analysis, offer insights, and implement strategies to drive growth for vendor businesses.

 

Work closely with internal teams at Deliveroo including: 

  • HOP vendor management: to define and shape category strategies - from range to seasonal selection and promotional plans; 
  • Marketing: to create exciting campaigns to engage with new and existing customers; 
  • Operations/supply chain: to optimise partner ordering schedules, lead times, shelf life and SKU volumes to support best in class customer availability and freshness as well as site operational efficiency

  • Design and automate processes to support improved efficiency in daily tasks and create scalable solutions for the wider HOP business;
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for Deliveroo to improve onsite / in app customer experience to support easier product discovery and conversion; 
  • Monitor market trends to identify opportunities to onboard new vendors and new selection to meet customer needs and missions

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Three years’ experience in an account or category management role, experience in a startup or e-commerce is a plus
  • Experience in delivering recommendations from data analysis and working cross-functionally to deliver projects
  • Skilled with using Google Suite tools, particularly in building and analysing spreadsheets
  • Resourceful, action and detail-oriented, with a high ownership mindset to deliver measurable impact
  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach to support effective decision-making.
  • Excellent numerical proficiency and ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills that enable you to influence and engage key stakeholders across all levels.
  • Proficient in project management, with the ability to effectively coordinate and lead cross-functional teams.
  • A passionate and energetic individual who can inspire and motivate the team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Thrives in tackling challenges within a complex and competitive environment.
  • Proficient in English
