The role is based in the vibrant city of Munich, Germany and offers visa & relocation support. 

Your Impact:

As a Verification and Certification Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing a groundbreaking Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Platform. Your focus will extend to avionics integration and IMA software certification, contributing to the Lilium Jet's safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate software certification activities and participate in monthly meetings with certification authorities (EASA/FAA).
  • Collaborate & closely support Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) in certification and compliance activities.
  • Interpretation and application of AMC 20-115D and DO-178C for Software certification activities.
  • Coordinate pre-SOI and SOI activities related to the software with the certification authorities.
  • Coordinate pre-SOI activities with internal teams & suppliers for software.
  • Collaborate closely with internal & airworthiness teams, external suppliers, and stakeholders for successful integration.
  • Participate in cross-functional activities with other relevant stakeholders (systems, safety, security, airworthiness, design assurance, test rigs).
  • Generate plans, standards, guidelines, and methods related to software verification and certification.

Required experience & qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Software Verification and Certification of Safety-Critical Systems.
  • Experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle activities and the compliance relation to DO-178C
  • Experience with Software Verification activities and tools required
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of DO-178C, DO-331
  • Experience in pre-SOI and SOI activities.

Preferred experience (good to have):

  • Experience in working with suppliers
  • Experience with Type Cetification approval
  • Experience with Technical Standard Order(TSO) approval
  • Experience with ARP-4754 and DO-297
  • Fluency in English, German language skills are a plus.
