Vice President / Director in Business Development leads and supports processes enabling existing and prospective investors to consider and ultimately commit to StepStone funds or Solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities may include:

  • Lead acquisition efforts of Private Wealth with prospective investors in Switzerland across different segments of wealth management and financial institutions.
  • Buiding and maintaining a qualitative Sales pipeline.
  • Developing and communicating business development KPIs
  • Oversight of the firm’s CRM platform (Salesforce) for Private Wealth related information
  • Management of dataroom (Intralinks) LP access for Private Wealth prospective investors
  • Coordinating formal and informal responses for investors requests
  • Assist with existing investor coverage and general business development efforts
  • Management of day-to-day workstreams of BD, support team members
  • Oversight and coordination over LP onboarding document processing and tracking

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Min. of 5+ years of prior business development, investment, consulting experience with a specific focus on private markets and a proven network of contacts, partners and clients in wealth management and financial institutions in Switzerland.
  • Knowledge of private market funds structures for wealth distribution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Marketing or Communications
  • CFA and/or CAIA a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong commercial skills
  • Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Private Markets
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties
  • Familiarity with CRM solutions, Salesforce preferred
  • Fluent in German (pref. Swiss German) & English, ideally another language such as Italian and French a plus
  • A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
