Position Overview

The Vice President, Financial Reporting & Consolidations will be responsible for the global accounting consolidation, technical accounting, and internal and external financial reporting of the company, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. This includes overseeing the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements on a GAAP basis and reporting of the Company’s non-GAAP financial measures. This role will have direct involvement in corporate transactions and participate in cross functional initiatives. In addition, this role will collaborate with various internal partners, such as corporate accounting, tax accounting, fund accounting, corporate investor relations, legal, human resources, corporate development, as well as investment professionals and client servicing team members.

Essential Job Functions:

•    Oversee the global accounting consolidation process that includes both wholly and not wholly-owned subsidiaries•    Oversee the SEC reporting function including preparation and filing of Form 10-Q’s, 10-K’s and 8-K press releases•    Oversee the preparation of the earnings call presentation materials •    Manage the equity-based compensation accounting and the Company’s equity ownership register •    Manage the operation of internal controls in the relevant areas of equity, consolidation and financial reporting•    Play an integral role in the accounting close process, coordinating with accounting team members that oversee the various U.S. and international subsidiaries •    Serve as key contact to external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, including coordination of requests for independence procedures•    Perform technical accounting research and prepare related internal documentation and memos•    Assist in the firmwide forecasting process, including insightful management reporting and analysis•    Assist with preparation of domestic and international regulatory reporting •    Manage special projects as required such as new accounting guidance adoption implementations and integration of acquisitions•    Manage the corporate accounting policies document and provide training as necessary for new accounting guidance

Education and Experience Requirements:

•    Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance •    Active CPA license•    Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred•    Experience in a leadership or supervisory role 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•    Consolidation experience in a global organization •    Acute attention to accuracy and detail•    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills•    Proven ability to develop business relationships with senior leaders across the firm and other key partners •    NetSuite accounting software experience preferred•    Excellent Excel skills required•    Highly proficient in using Word and other Microsoft office programs

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities•    Background or familiarity with private markets asset management firms
