Appian is looking for a high-energy, results driven sales leader to drive and manage the growth of our Global Strategic Partners, sales team.

The Vice President, Global Strategic Partners is responsible for achieving booking targets.  They will lead a team of Regional Vice Presidents and Account Executives. This role reports directly to the Vice President, Partners and Alliances, and will work with other members of the sales leadership team to ensure the overall quota is met.

 

About You:

  • You are an energetic and creative sales professional, with a history of exceeding quotas and driving impactful business for your company 

  • You prefer a build vs. maintain environment, and thrive treading new ground 

  • You are skilled in working with large global integrators or consultancies to create and execute new Go to Market plans 

  • You have a working knowledge of intelligent automation with a history of qualifying client solution areas and orchestrating multi departmental solution sales 

  • You are a relationship builder, deep rooted in trust 

  • You are honest, collaborative, confident and competitive 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own, run and build our Global book of business for one of our global Strategic Partners, and help them do the same 

  • Grow our footprint, relationships and revenue through the identification, creation and execution of new GTM solutions, and by extending into new areas of the Partner organization 

  • Prioritize activities, coach and lead a growing team of resources in the execution of our strategy, and in day-to-day support of our Partner. 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 10+ years of global enterprise sales experience

  • Experience working in and/or with large system integrators or consultancies

  • Experience with leading high performing teams of global sales professionals 

  • Evidence of data based decision making resulting in quota attainment

  • Preferably based out of the Washington DC area with ability to travel

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business
