Vice President,  MRE & Technical Services

 The Vice President of MRE & Technical Services will oversee Maintenance operations nationwide. Striving for utmost safety and operational excellence, you will manage a team of Senior level Maintenance leaders and help transform our HelloFresh Maintenance operations into best in class!

Role can be based in: Aurora CO, New York NY, Newark NJ, Phoenix AZ, Irving TX, Aurora IL

 

You will…

  • Lead & support national maintenance and reliability operations, as well as assist with all major US capital projects to ensure effective asset management, energy conservation, environmental compliance, and overall facility maintenance.
  • Oversee integration of acquisitions as it pertains to maintenance teams 
  • Develop training programs for SOPs pertaining to employee safety, asset protection and operating processes
  • Systematically define, design, develop, monitor and refine the preventive, predictive and reliability-centered maintenance processes in pursuit of optimization.
  • Ensure the appropriate preventive and predictive processes are implemented with each new project as well as stocking of all critical spares
  • Promote better equipment performance for higher efficiency yields.
  • Reduce and improve maintenance work wherever feasible ensuring efficient and reliable facility operations, processes and equipment while protecting and prolonging the economic life of facility assets at optimal cost.
  • Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions; manages monthly/yearly budgets to ensure cost controls; implements KPI’s to track internal measurements.
  • Establish and maintain world class standards for food safety regarding storage and handling within the DCs.
  • Establish/maintain a work order system to ensure all work orders and PMs are completed successfully and on a timely basis.
  • Support the plans and activities associated with the effective management of distribution quality, performance, service, asset stewardship and cost for the facilities.
  • Continuous Improvement – Cultivate a culture that focuses on continuous improvement through innovation, technology, and process control.
  • Manages business relationships with external contractors.
  • Business Partner Collaboration – Optimize distribution efficiency through execution with key vendors, customers, and internal business units.

 At a minimum you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred in an Engineering discipline or international equivalent
  • 12+ years’ experience in a maintenance management role
  • Food Industry experience a plus but not required
  • 5 + years in multi-location facilities and maintenance management
  • A vision and know how to communicate it; you’re a strategic leader with great follow-through who gets excited to drive change and lead innovation projects.
  • Proven track record in team development and leadership of teams with 50+ team members
  • High level leadership experience in structured maintenance practices
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), SQF, HACCP, FDA, USDA
  • Based out of one of our Distribution Centers this position requires heavy travel to all sites
