Culture Amp is actively searching for a seasoned and hands-on Vice President of Product Marketing to join our dynamic team. In the role of VP of Global Product Marketing, you will play a crucial role in defining our product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies. Additionally, you will take charge of competitive intelligence, pricing and packaging, and the customer reference program. Managing a streamlined team of dedicated product marketers, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our products in the market. This position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

  • Drive the product marketing direction for Culture Amp by collaborating with other marketing functions, including growth / demand generation, corporate marketing, field marketing, brand, and AR/PR.
    • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, usage patterns, and buying behavior, as well as the partner ecosystem, to better identify market opportunities and customer demand for Culture Amp’s product offerings across all segments. 
    • Develop and own product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that differentiate Culture Amp’s solutions in the marketplace. Develop and activate Culture Amp’s core use case messaging and positioning.
    • Lead product launch plans that are fully synced with business and revenue goals and aligned with marketing, sales, and product-led pipeline generation targets.
  • Educate the market about Culture Amp’s solution offerings through various collateral, such as demos, whitepapers, workshops, presentations, and technical blogs, driving views of that content. 
    • Craft engaging audience-specific content, including case studies, solution briefs, web content, presentations, data sheets, whitepapers, and sales playbooks that can be utilized globally, covering various personas and industries. 
    • Conduct competitive analysis and educate sales, product management, and marketing teams about the competitive landscape and competitor offerings. Gather competitive intelligence on our key competitors and develop differentiation materials for the field and external consumption. 
  • Influence Culture Amp’s product strategy and roadmap by providing input based on market and customer research findings, industry analyst interactions, and competitive insights. 
    • Use customer, partner, and competitive research to influence product strategy and product priorities. 
    • Leverage analytics and insights to help with pricing and packaging decisions, conversion motions, and optimizing pricing and sales incentives to achieve growth goals. 
    • Expertise that aligns with the principles of Product-Led Growth (PLG), showcasing the ability to craft and execute comprehensive plans that drive product adoption and growth through user-centric approaches. Develop a visionary approach to product marketing, ensuring alignment with the dynamic landscape of PLG methodologies to achieve sustainable and impactful results.
  • Nurture and leverage relationships with key HR thought leaders, influencers, and key strategic customers and partners to increase market awareness about Culture Amp. 
    • Grow a customer reference program to engage our customers and showcase customer success and value realization achieved using Culture Amp. 
    • Conduct ROI/TCO analysis and develop content to help customers make the business case for Culture Amp. 
  • Define the team’s strategy, budget, hiring, and OKRs to build and measure team results. 
    • Work closely with executive leadership to align marketing initiatives with broader company objectives.
    • Support the team in setting clear goals and key results, ensuring that those are communicated and visible across the company, with progress shared regularly.
    • As a company leader and customer<>industry expert, prepare and deliver presentations and demos to customers, press, and analysts, as well as at industry and customer events.

Your Experience:

  • Over 15 years of experience in product marketing, including 5 years of Product-Led Growth (PLG) experience. As a leader, you will bring a minimum of 7 years of expertise in people management roles with global responsibilities, showcasing the ability to recruit new talent, foster the growth of existing employees, and collaborate effectively with individuals at different stages of their careers
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and marketing B2B SaaS products, with additional expertise in HCM solutions considered a plus. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive various go-to-market strategies and release readiness processes, collaborating with product management, marketing, sales, alliances, and other stakeholders. 
  • Experience in the ABM (Account-Based Marketing) space is a plus.
  • Proficient in distilling highly technical concepts into persuasive marketing content suitable for diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing pricing and packaging strategies with tangible success.
  • Ability to engage with and earn the respect of both deeply technical industry experts and business leaders alike.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, and product management organizations.
  • Possess a robust analytical mindset, enabling the derivation of business-relevant inferences and the formulation of strategies and tactics based on data and insights.
  • Capability to rapidly prioritize and respond to changing market dynamics.
  • Demonstrate upstanding character, leadership, consistent execution, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Hold a BA or BS, or higher, in marketing, business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is listed below. The range is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual skills, capabilities and experience, objectively assessed during the interview process. 

In addition to base salary, your compensation package will include additional components such as equity and benefits. For sales roles, your package may also include sales commission. US Salary Range$300,000—$370,000 USD
