Video Producer, Eater
Vox Media is seeking an ambitious and multifaceted Producer to join the Eater Video team. Directly reporting to the Supervising Producer, Development, the ideal candidate is a highly proficient producer, taking projects from pre-production to producing in the field to seeing it through post-production. Producers at Eater work across many projects and departments both editorial and sponsored work; our ideal candidate can balance deadlines and enjoys working on a team. Passion for food, restaurants, culture, and the people and places in the industry that make it all happen is a plus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Produce, develop, and own existing and new series episodes
- Produce, direct, shoot & manage talent and chefs on location
- Manage episodes through post-production with staff and freelance editors
- Balance the work of a variety of shoots and series including all documentation from pre-production through post
- Work closely with other producers, and editorial and video team members to deliver the highest quality content possible
- Travel domestically and internationally, as needed
- Participate in pitching and brainstorms to bring new ideas to the table for docu-style, entertainment, or educational cooking concepts
- Read Eater’s sites every day with an eye for both content and development
WHO YOU ARE
- 3-5 years of professional experience producing, directing, shooting, and editing
- High-end shooting capability and excellent understanding of field production equipment and cameras
- Strong understanding of sponsored video work and timelines
- Strong understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Motion graphics design and animation experience, a plus
- Strong interest in all of Eater's coverage area - food, dining and entertaining
- Strong docu-style storytelling capabilities
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and episodes
- Open and clear communication
- A true team player who brings passion to the table

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
