Bankrate is seeking a Visual & Brand Designer to redefine how we show up—inside the business and out. You’ll be the craft owner for executive‑ready sales materials, brand‑consistent collateral across channels, and performance‑minded creative for paid media. This could be a great fit if you’re energized by building, templatizing, and leveling up visual systems—and you’re comfortable using (and documenting) modern tools and workflows to help non‑designers move faster without sacrificing quality.*This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte area offices. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.

What You’ll Do:

Sales enablement
  • Design, refine, and templatize executive‑level sales collateral and slide decks (Google Slides first), partnering closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and the executive leadership team.
  • Build a modular slide/deck system (master templates, component libraries, guidance) to speed creation while maintaining polish and consistency across teams.
  • Produce enterprise mock‑ups, diagrams and concept visuals that clarify value props for specific partner pitches.
Branded collateral
  • Create and maintain cross‑channel assets within the Bankrate identity; uphold consistency across presentations, one‑pagers, internal documentation, digital placements, and event materials.
  • Extend the identity system thoughtfully (type, color, grid, motion, iconography, illustration) and document usage so others can apply it correctly.
Socials & Media support
  • Produce performant creative sets for Meta and GDN; version intelligently across formats and specs.
  • Operate a "test & learn" loop—review creative performance with analysts and iterate art direction, layout, copy framing, and motion to lift CTR/CVR while protecting the brand.
  • Use AI‑assisted workflows (image generation and variations, cut‑out/cleanup, prompt libraries, batch exports) to increase throughput and enable non‑design partners.
Brand building
  • Partner with Creative leadership and agencies to develop an adaptable identity system for B2B2C use cases; contribute to tokens, libraries, and governance.
  • Create brand kits, shareable templates, and how‑to guides that scale great design across the org.
  • Concept, design, and produce compelling visual assets and campaigns that bring new products to market—including ads, social creative, and marketing collateral.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of professional visual/brand design experience building sales decks, brand systems, and performance‑minded assets across digital channels.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates refined storytelling, strong typographic systems, and cross‑channel consistency.
  • Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects); expert in Google Slides; comfort with Canva.
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted workflows (e.g., image generation and refinement) and eagerness to document prompts/templates for non‑designers.
  • Experience collaborating with non-designer partners and presenting to executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to write and refine short‑form copy for slides, CTAs, and headlines when partnering writers aren’t available.
  • Solid grasp of accessibility fundamentals (contrast, motion sensitivity, alt text) and production requirements across digital channels.

Compensation: 

  • Cash Compensation Range: $65,000 - $95,000 per year

*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience
