Vice President of Field Strategy & Operations, Okta
Okta is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales Strategy & Operations to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting the long-term sales strategy, developing efficient policies and processes, and leading the Sales Strategy and Operations, Sales Engineering Operations and Channel Operations teams. Reporting to the SVP GTM Strategy & Operations, this role will collaborate extensively with leaders in finance, sales enablement, marketing, Customer First and product-led growth to solve business challenges and accelerate Okta’s growth.
Responsibilities
- The VP, Sales Strategy & Operations will be responsible for aligning sales operations, sales engineering operations, and channel operations with Okta's vision and strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing to the company's overall growth.
- Partner with CRO and executive field leadership to build our growth strategy and detailed operational plans to support it
- Establish and maintain operating cadence/rigor across all field functions to ensure the health of the business on achieving key performance metrics including forecast accuracy, funnel analysis, and pipeline management
- Drive executive deliverables such as Quarterly Business Reviews and weekly Field Leadership staff meetings
- Lead key fiscal planning responsibilities: Field Strategy, Long Range Planning, Headcount Allocation, Territory and Account Planning, Incentive Design feedback and Fiscal Year cutover communications
- Build, influence or drive change across Okta’s processes, policies, and technologies that optimize the path for supporting overall revenue growth
- Set strategy and framework for international expansion, including entry mode (direct sales, channel partnerships, etc.), and establish necessary sales operations infrastructure to support international sales efforts
- Develop and execute strategies to expand Okta’s partner and channel ecosystem; analyze partner performance data to identify areas for improvement and growth
- Build strong working relationships with executives and key leaders across GTM teams (e.g. product, marketing, finance) and influence the goals and priorities of stakeholders whose mission aligns with that of Field Operations
- Develop and manage a world-class, inclusive, diverse, high-performing team by driving effective onboarding, on-going training, retention with a strong remote culture
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales operations, sales strategy, and leadership roles within a technology company, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Subject matter expertise specifically in sales operations, sales engineer operations and partner/channel operations
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and operational excellence at high-growth, SaaS companies
- Proven ability to drive executive deliverables and communicate effectively at the leadership level
- Experience in building, influencing, or driving change across organizational processes, policies, and technologies to optimize revenue growth.
- Strong first principles thinker and someone who is able to drive efficient and rigorous analysis, research and insight generation, and building hypotheses and an action plan.
- Bias towards action and Ownership mentality: Someone who exhibits a strong results-oriented ownership mentality and owns both successes and failures/learnings in past experiences.

Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
