About the Role
We are looking for a Vehicle Test Engineer to lead Verification & Validation (V&V) efforts for on-road ADAS work. Your role will focus on ensuring that the systems and components meet all required specifications, standards, and customer expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define testing criteria, develop test plans, and oversee the execution of both verification and validation processes. Your V&V work will cover both simulation testing using Applied’s software and in-vehicle testing using hardware owned by Applied or our customers. Your work will be critical to enable our development of a production-ready software for on-road vehicles.
In addition to your testing contributions, by working in our dynamic and customer-focused team culture, you will contribute to and learn from best practices in the automotive industry. We move fast and we focus on excellence, for our products and for our business. If you are hands-on and looking for a place to have a multiplying effect on making automotive systems a reality, Applied is the place for you!
At Applied you will:
- Develop and maintain the V&V strategy for automotive systems
- Collaborate with system development teams to understand system requirements and define appropriate verification and validation plans.
- Design, develop, and implement test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Utilize various testing methodologies and Applied’s tools to conduct functional, non-functional, regression, and performance testing in simulation and on-road.
- Analyze test results, identify issues and trends, and work with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
- Document all V&V activities and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and components, particularly in areas such as ADAS, infotainment, powertrain, and vehicle control systems.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and processes related to automotive systems.
- Experience with HIL and SIL testing environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in V&V testing in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE) and regulatory requirements.
