The role is based out of our Wilmette,IL Wayfair store and is fully onsite Monday through Friday. This role requires some flexibility to work occasional weekends or in-store events

The salary range for this position is $60,800-69,588/yr however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

You’ll build strong partnerships with store leaders, understand the unique needs of each department, and deliver a candidate experience that reflects our brand: welcoming, helpful, and a little playful.

This role is equal parts relationship-builder, problem-solver, and brand ambassador. You’ll manage everything from traditional and creative sourcing, to screening candidates and offer letters, to candidate onboarding details and process changes. All of this, while constantly staying two steps ahead of the hiring curve.   • 📍 Own Onsite Recruitment: You will primarily serve as the face of Talent Acquisition in the store, working onsite five days a week to build strong, in-person relationships with stakeholders, hiring managers, and future team members.
  • 🧠 Understand the Business Inside & Out: Develop a deep understanding of each hiring manager and department, including Logistics, Visual, Sales, Design, Retail Engagement, and Asset Protection, to deliver qualified talent aligning with both role requirements and team culture.
  • 🎯 Source Strategically & Creatively: Leverage tools like Avature, GEM, Visier, and Greenhouse along with creative, boots-on-the-ground sourcing efforts. You will use this to build strong pipelines, generate quality applicant flow, and attract talent in both expected and unexpected places.
  • 📝 Own Job Postings and ATS Accuracy: Create, update, and maintain job postings with precision while ensuring the applicant tracking system remains accurate, organized, and optimized for hiring success.
  • 🤝 Deliver Exceptional Hiring Experiences: Champion clean, consistent, and positive candidate and hiring experiences that reflect Wayfair’s values from start to finish.
  • 📅 Coordinate Recruiting Events: Support community hiring initiatives, job fairs, store promotional events, and external partnerships that generate buzz and attract great talent.
  • 📣 Act as a Recruiting Subject Matter Expert: Provide leadership guidance on hiring strategy, process improvements, and talent insights, while escalating issues thoughtfully and offering proactive solutions.
  • 🧩 Balance Priorities with Precision: Manage competing demands across multiple roles and departments through smart prioritization, clear communication, and confident decision-making, understanding your return on investment.
  • 📊 Drive Stakeholder Alignment: Build trust quickly, manage feedback, interview loops, and align cross-functional partners toward shared hiring goals, while surfacing key insights and trends to your TA Leadership Team.
  • 🛠️ Adapt and Iterate: Embrace feedback, adjust to change, and continuously improve the hiring process by solving challenges and bringing forward fresh ideas.

You’ll Thrive in this Role if You Have:

  • 👥 Stakeholder Relations: You build trust quickly and can partner confidently with hiring managers across departments to deeply understand who and what they need on their teams.
  • 🔍 Sourcing Creativity: You bring fresh ideas to the top of the funnel and are comfortable with boots-on-the-ground recruiting, as well as  using tools like Indeed, GEM, and social platforms to spark applicant flow and uncover hidden talent.
  • 📈 Recruiting Experience: You have 1+ years of experience in a high-volume corporate or agency recruiting environment and are eager to continue growing your TA expertise.
  • 🗂️ Detail Discipline: You are highly organized while moving fast, keep systems clean, follow through flawlessly, and know how to juggle shifting priorities with ease while remaining in accordance with deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • 💬 Clear and Confident Communication: You communicate with clarity and professionalism across varying audiences that may require different approaches or messaging.
  • 🚀 Growth-Ready Mindset: You’re adaptable, take feedback in stride, and bring a proactive, can-do attitude to change and new challenges.
