The Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate technical expert to maintain and improve our newly relaunched website. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring proper maintenance and development of commercetools' website. You will be the contact person for site queries, collaborating with a motivated team of marketers and developers, overseeing day-to-day CMS activities, troubleshooting, and providing suggestions for improvements.

Please note: We are considering both mid-level and senior candidates for this position, which is reflected in the pay range.

Your Mission:

  • Maintain and oversee current website structure
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using web development best practices
  • Create website layouts and user interfaces with HTML and CSS
  • Support the marketing team with identifying and developing new landing page components
  • Gather/refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Troubleshoot and fix daily website issues and bugs
  • Create and maintain documentation

What you need to succeed: 

  • Knowledge of PHP and modern frameworks such as Laravel
  • 3+ years of experience in frontend development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern web APIs
  • Experience with Wordpress or Statamic 
  • Proactivity in spotting issues and collaborating with the team to fix them
  • You have a result-oriented mindset and the ability to break down complex data and provide structured reports
  • Experience  working in an Agile environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS (or another cloud solution) and other CMS

US Pay Range $90,000—$132,000 USD
