Work Health & Safety Advisor
As a Work Health & Safety Advisor, you will support the implementation of Health & Safety initiatives across the business, fostering a safe and compliant work environment. You will provide expert guidance on health and safety compliance, policy development, and best practices, while working closely with stakeholders to enhance workplace safety culture.
This role will be based in Penrose, Auckland and will report into the Associate Director of WHS ANZ.
You will…
- Support the implementation and maintenance of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) programs, policies, and procedures.
- Provide expert advice to managers and team leaders on risk identification, mitigation strategies, and health and safety compliance.
- Assist with hazard identification, risk assessments, and the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
- Coordinate and deliver WHS training programs, including manual handling, emergency response, and forklift safety.
- Maintain accurate training records and help identify and address gaps in training requirements (e.g. First Aid, HSRs).
- Promote engagement in WHS initiatives through toolbox talks, safety campaigns, committee meetings, and awareness activities.
- Support workplace incident and injury management, including investigations, reporting, and return-to-work coordination.
- Assist in contractor safety management and emergency preparedness, including inductions, fire drills, and evacuation planning.
You have…
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related field.
- A strong understanding of HSE legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Practical experience applying compliance requirements within operational environments.
- Confidence using digital solutions such as Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and WHS software.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
