Workflow Engineer
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a talented, passionate, and proactive Workflow Engineer I to join our in-house Media Content Services Team located in Plantation, FL. You’ll be responsible for building best-in-class media management workflows around our two asset management platforms (MAM/DAM) that set standards for all content projects produced at Chewy. You must have the experience and enthusiasm necessary to jump into a team that is responsible for supporting media assets for all business units, digital channels, and our storefront including photography, graphic design files, and broadcast video editing needs for Chewy.
What you'll do:
- Build best-in-class media management workflows that set the standards for all Media Content Services, and ultimately, across all of Chewy’s asset management environments (MAM/DAM)
- Integrate with multiple SaaS service
- Integrate systems over HTTPS
- Develop rules-based process automations
- Maintain consistent source control on projects
- Perform routine backups of systems to maintain continuity of services
- Build and test transcoding profiles and create workflow documentation as technologies evolve
- Work with vendors on software improvements that affect all technology
- Earn trust through active and nuanced communication with not only peers throughout the Studio teams but also leaders within the Post-Production department
- Prepare technical solution designs and proposals, applying existing standards to meet business requirements
- Exhibit advanced post-production workflow knowledge and experience
What you'll need:
- 3+ Years of Workflow Engineering experience in an asset management environment, Bynder (DAM) and/or Iconik (MAM) preferred
- Lambda Coding and UX design experience preferred
- Deep passion for everything post-production workflow
- Highly proficient in transcoding complex media files
- Highly organized and detail-driven, with a proven ability to anticipate workflow needs in a quick-turn environment
- Thrive in an ever-developing, fast-paced environment - happy to be flexible and pivot on a dime!
- Ability to act as a team player in a production team, who is ready and able to help come up with solutions to creative problems
- Active listener with a strong ability to think critically
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and communication skills
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Available to work on weekends and evenings when needed
