About the job

This position is needed to manage the day to day workplace operations at our San Francisco office Headquarters

Twilio is looking for a leader with a demonstrated track record of customer service, people management, and operational efficiency.  This individual will be someone who likes ambiguity, is comfortable operating in a dynamic environment and enjoys getting into the details to drive improvements every single day.  The Workplace Operations Manager is central to Twilio’s continued growth, and will work closely with senior leadership and all teams to manage and improve the workplace environment. 

Responsibilities

As Workplace Operations Manager, you will:

  • Manage the quality of service levels, directing and coordinating workplace operations including, food service, reception, maintenance, mail and shipping, janitorial, and event set-up
  • Oversee and develop the Workplace Operations Coordinator 
  • Responsible for all workplace and building operations, including maintenance and vendor management 
  • Work with Property Management team to ensure building operations support our employee and office needs 
  • Oversee audits to ensure the workspace is properly maintained and meets company and departmental standards, as well as all safety and sustainability guidelines
  • Create Purchase Orders and track spend as well as identifying efficiencies and cost savings opportunities 
  • Lead onsite event planning and logistics for all internal events and gatherings in partnership with cross functional support teams. 
  • Ability to quickly respond to operational and emergency situations, and provide technical guidance and direction during real-time situation/problem management. Must be able to communicate and act in a consulting capacity with projects and new designs.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, key stakeholders and all business partners
  • Manage tickets ( work requests ) ensuring timely responses by the team and high level of customer service

Required:

  • 5+ years experience in Workplace Operations/ Employee Experience or equivalent. Proven experience as a Workplace Operations Manager or similar role, with demonstrated project and program management expertise
  • 5+ years of People Management experience. The ability to manage and coach a team is important in this role.
  • Previous event management experience for both large-scale and small-scale gatherings.
  • Project management self-directed experience, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to execute tasks in an efficient manner
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven planning organizational and relational skills with a background in office administration.
  • Exceptional computer skills and must have experience with (Google Docs/SpaceiQ/ServiceNow/Oracle) 

 

Desired:

  • CFM and or FMP credential preferred but not required

Location

This role will be based in our San Francisco Headquarters office at 101 Spear Street. 

Relocation costs will not be offered for this position

Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $132,160.00 to $165,200.00
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
