About the roleThe hardworking and dedicated ADR Engineers are responsible for recording, editing, and placing audio files for our English dubs! You’ll be working in one of our recording studios using industry standard microphones, gear, and software to record the actors that are cast in the shows. Part of your role will be to assess issues in the studios and troubleshoot as needed, as well as work together with your lead engineer to accomplish extra tasks needed for your episodes.
- Work in the studio recording dialogue of voice actors with the voice director. The primary function of the ADR Engineer is to keep the session moving at a quick, steady pace while allowing the director to lead the sessions.
- Identify and correct issues during the recording process to maintain set audio quality standards.
- Perform editing of dialogue to prepare episodes for mix based on set standards.
- Communicate progress on projects through email and updates to shared project software-based systems.
- Assist the audio department with documenting and troubleshooting studio hardware and software issues.
- The job requires working at an audio workstation for extended periods of time recording multiple weekly projects as an assistant engineer.
In the role of ADR Engineer, you will report to the ADR Manager.

About YouWe get excited about candidates, like you, because...
- 1+ years of experience working with Pro Tools audio software using a keyboard and mouse including knowledge of keyboard shortcuts
- Working knowledge of Source Connect and other remote recording workflows
- Basic familiarity with recording studio hardware including microphones, preamps, mixers, and speakers
- Basic knowledge of signal flow
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a timely manner according to written schedules
- Familiarity with office communications software including email, word processing, and spreadsheets
- Familiarity with Mac OS and Apple computers
- Good verbal and written communication skills as well as problem solving skills
- Past experience in post-production audio for TV/Film, preferably in an office environment
The hardworking and dedicated ADR Engineering team is responsible for recording, editing, and placing audio files for our English dubs! Our goal is to produce high-quality audio that makes our content stack up with all the major players in the digital streaming world. We work collaboratively with the ADR Directors, Re-recording Mixers, Producers, and other team members daily to make the best of each genre of anime that we can! We're the first step in the audio chain and strive to make all steps after us as easy as we can by using critical listening, audio theory, and problem solving skills.
