What is the key purpose of an Advertising Sales Director (Agencies)? Working as part of our advertising sales team from either our Delhi or Mumbai office, the Advertising Sales Director (Agencies) will operate as a senior individual contributor and will be responsible for an individual advertising sales quota with a focus on establishing new partnerships with agency holding companies.
What skills and qualifications do I need?
For this role it is essential that you:
- Have significant experience (10+ years) operating within the agency landscape (within agency, trading desk or platform) in a similar role
- Have a proven track record of sales success with the ability to navigate complex negotiations and secure long term deals
- Are a networking pro with the ability to establish, grow and maintain relationships at multiple levels within the client org structure
- Possess excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft convincing case studies and sales pitch decks
- Are a pro-active sales oriented go-getter - this role will operate as an individual contributor and will be responsible for developing a robust sales pipeline
What will I be doing on a day-to day today basis?As an Advertising Sales Director (Agencies), you will be responsible for:
- Partnership Acquisition Rate: Measure the rate at which the Director establishes new partnerships with agency holding companies. KPI: Number of new agency partnerships secured per quarter across big six and indie. Also needs to establish leadership meetings, trade deck discussions etc.
- Trading Agreement Development: Track the progress in developing agency trading agreements, increasing in the number of trading agreements in discussion with major holding companies.
- Deal Value and Closure Rate: Monitor the success rate of closing large deals.
- Internal Collaboration Effectiveness: Evaluate how well the lead collaborates with internal teams.
- Innovation Impact on Business: Assess the impact on focus areas like specific vertical growth etc.
- Briefs Secured: Monitor and secure media advertising briefs from agencies.
- Quarterly Pacing Targets: Evaluate the initiatives to work with the sales team in achieving quarterly pacing targets of TA.
- Agency Roadshows: Be proactive and planned in conducting roadshows for agencies.
- Product Adoption Rate: Assess the success in driving product adoption across agencies.
- Tactical deals : Use short term creative tactics with independent agencies to boost business in the short run.
