This is an on-site role in our Boston, MA office. 

We’re seeking an analytical, disciplined, and execution-oriented individual to join our Merchandising Analytics team. Wayfair’s Catalog Merchandising organization onboards/maintains a vast product catalog & develops strategy to guide customers through this large selection to exactly what they need. Merch Analytics is a centralized team within Catalog Merch that drives strategy decisions and semi-annual planning by defining metrics, developing data analytics products, and conducting analysis/research for the business (in collaboration with partners in Technology). The ideal candidate brings structured thinking, technical/coding experience, a bias to action, great communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop a strong working relationship with business partners and a deep understanding of their strategy, goals, KPIs, and execution levers.
  • Partner with leadership to define metrics to measure progress/value and translate complex problems into questions that can be answered through data-driven analysis.
  • Collaborate with partners in Technology (Data Engineering, Product) to architect, build, and then integrate data products into daily operations.
  • Conduct analysis to extract insights and trends that inform business strategy.
  • Communicate findings with a clear point-of-view and compelling visualizations.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline and a strong academic background
  • 1-2 years of experience experience in an analyst role (preferred)
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g. SQL, Google BigQuery), visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Looker) and analysis tools (e.g. Python, R-Studio)
  • An organized, structured, and process-oriented mindset with proven ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication and data presentation/visualization skills to effectively communicate insights and key findings to stakeholders
