About the job

Our Strategy and Planning team, part of our broader Sales Operations team, strives to help our Sales organization go faster and grow faster. This function acts as business partners to our Senior Sales Leaders, and your responsibilities will range across a variety of strategic initiatives including analyzing inefficient business rules, piloting new sales roles, optimizing for obstacles in the sales process, and analyzing sales data to come up with meaningful business insights.

We are looking for an analyst to join us in building out this function in support of our Sales Leadership Teams over time. You will be responsible for learning the ins and outs of each major MongoDB Sales Business, play a critical role in building relationships with the senior leadership team and driving forward initiatives that will help us unlock sales revenue. The ideal candidate understands what makes a Sales team thrive, has a strong interest in data analysis to tell stories, and thrives in shaping narratives that are conducive to helping our Sales team grow.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Boston for our hybrid working model.

The Opportunity

As a Sales Strategy & Planning Analyst, you will:

  • Help drive the analytical rhythm of our business which includes running critical analyses to present insights to the greater organization 
  • Become an expert in sales, compensation, territory management, headcount planning and other crucial process 
  • Assist Senior Stakeholders in making business decisions to increase the effectiveness of their respective Sales Organizations 
  • Collaborate with various business units (Finance, Marketing, Compensation) in order continue adapting our business practices to our evolving business

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)
  • 1-3 years of work experience in either Sales Strategy / Consulting / Sales Operations / Analytics
  • Effective communicator who can break down convoluted technical concepts into simple business vernacular
  • Proficient with spreadsheets with an ability to analyze data and drive insights 
  • General understanding of Salesforce objects, SQL language and database industry
  • Bonus - experience with at least one major business intelligence tool (Tableau,Google Data Studio,Looker)
