ABOUT PURPOSE AND VERIFIED FOR CLIMATE

In early 2020 Purpose and the UN launched Verified, to respond to Covid 19 misinformation and disinformation. We are now partnering on a new mission to leverage the Verified infrastructure for a global campaign to accelerate the transition to renewable energy.

Verified for Climate operates as a global platform, benefitting from a spotlight on the world stage thanks to the UN, and tapping into big global moments to shift the public debate when it matters most. We pair time-bound public engagement and mobilization campaigns with a steady, constant drumbeat of messages and stories that counter disinformation and seed new, positive narratives on renewables. By combining a top-down and bottom-up approach, we work with networks of partners that can be activated at key moments.

This role is for a creative and agile Campaigner to lead the Verified work in the US. We are seeking a Campaign Lead who has experience in leading both on and offline campaigns across the climate impact issue space in the US. The Campaign Lead will work with the project team to co-create and deliver a campaign made up of a diverse range of experimental tactics aimed at the fossil fuel market including business leads, shareholders and policy makers to drive a shift to renewable energy.
