Corporate Treasury Manager - Brazil

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Treasury Manager to join our team. The successful candidate must be a Portuguese speaker and be available during the specified hours. This role is critical to our financial operations and requires a deep understanding of Brazilian Central Bank regulations, especially in relation to cash flow, reserves, and the various payment systems and clearing houses in the country. This role will be based in our Sao Paulo, Brazil office and work on a hybrid schedule. Portuguese speaker is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

Managing Cash and Settlement Routines: Responsible for managing cash flow and reserves in compliance with the Brazilian Central Bank's regulatory environment.

Regulatory Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment and requirements surrounding SPB (Sistema de Pagamentos Brasileiro), STR (Sistema de Transferência de Reservas), and SPI (Sistema de Pagamentos Instantâneos).

Real-time Monitoring: Monitor the real-time and daily operation of SPB, STR, and SPI to ensure smooth and efficient transactions.

Clearing Houses: Keep a vigilant eye on all clearing houses, including CIP and CETIP, to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize operations.

SELIC Operations: Be familiar with the operational procedures for SELIC (Sistema Especial de Liquidação e de Custódia).

Finance Support: Collaborate with the Finance department to ensure the accurate execution of financial operations and procedures.

Contingency Procedures: Execute procedures in a contingency environment in coordination with other market players to ensure business continuity.

Reconciliation and Financial Control: Support the reconciliation and financial control processes to maintain financial integrity.

Product Development: Collaborate closely with the strategy and operations team to develop new financial products that meet regulatory requirements.

Internal Audit/Control: Provide support to Internal Audit and Control areas to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

Regulatory Changes: Continuously assess the impact of changes in regulation and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

Manuals Maintenance: Keep all internal manuals up to date and ensure they are in accordance with Brazilian Central Bank regulations.

Qualifications:

Must be a Portuguese speaker.

Formal appointment as the Reserve Pilot with the BCB is required.

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial sector.

Strong knowledge of Brazilian Central Bank regulations and payment systems.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Understanding of financial product development is a plus.
