CUSTOMER RELATIONS & EVENTS MANAGER 

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on creating the best events and experiences for every customer and employee at SpaceX. Put your creative skillset to use to plan and execute a variety of events, including but not limited to VIP launch campaigns, customer acquisition and retention events, employee events, and community engagement events. We are seeking a team player who enjoys a fast-paced work environment and is eager to work with us toward accomplishing our mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside the Customer and Community Relations team to plan and execute customer events, special events, launches, and guest experiences from start to finish.
  • Manage invite lists and event RSVP websites, draft event agendas, source and manage event vendors including venue, transportation, catering, A/V, and entertainment.
  • Work with security teams to manage guest security clearances as needed. Provide onsite event management.
  • Work with the Community Relations team to vet and execute community requests- including sponsorships, donations, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Manage company community email inbox to respond to all requests in a timely manner. Provide assets as needed to support community events.
  • Handle the department's administrative duties such as submitting POs, vendor contracts, shipping needs, managing budgets, maintaining and updating internal tracking, specialty customer gift shipping, etc.
  • Manage the Hawthorne VIP tour program for SpaceX and Starlink, including vetting requests, and scheduling and coordinating all logistics for each visit.  

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years’ experience in events or a hospitality-related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing, events, or a hospitality-related field.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a proven ability to thrive under deadline pressure and to execute on a number of projects.
  • Ability to communicate with internal teams and customers effectively.
  • Experience working with vendors, venues, high-profile individuals and corporate companies.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage event software and tracking systems for invitations and agendas.
  • Experience with RSVP gathering, registration setup, and execution.
  • Excited about bringing creative ideas to the team to enhance our customer events and experiences.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel often domestically and internationally, and work overtime as needed to attend and execute events.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range: Customer Relations and Events Manager: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00/per year                              

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
