The Data Quality Analyst Opportunity

We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join the Data & Insights team that has a passion for data and data quality related processes and systems, is detail oriented, and can translate the needs and value of data quality across all levels and domains in the enterprise.  This position will develop and implement key components of our enterprise data strategy, ensuring that our data assets are accurate and governed effectively to support our data platform and our business partners that use data to make everyday decisions.  You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to establish policies, standards, and procedures under the pillars of data management and data quality to ensure data is used to its maximum potential. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Develop and implement data quality management strategies and processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and creating reports to communicate the status of data quality within the organization.
  • Lead data quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Contribute to data governance activities, ensuring that data management practices comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct data profiling activities to understand the quality of data and to identify inconsistencies and anomalies.
  • Work closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand their data quality needs and provide support.
  • Provide training and guidance to analysts and stakeholders on data quality management practices.
  • Implement and administrate data quality tools and software to automate data quality checks and improve data quality management processes.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in data quality 
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics in complex data enviornments
  • Advanced skills in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and quality checks
  • Proficiency with data quality and observability tools (Monte Carlo, Soda, dbt)
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, including data privacy and security
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical audience
