At Workpath, we are on a mission to shape the future of work. With our Outcome Management Platform, we empower leading enterprises like SAP, Bosch, Metro, IKEA and DB Schenker to define their most important goals and turn strategy into results with their teams. In the last 18 months, we have successfully raised €10.5M in a Series A financing round and our team has grown to over 80 ambitious Workpathians. To accomplish our mission, we are looking for great talent like you to join us - are you ready?

THE COMPANY

Hello, we are Workpath, a B2B startup from Munich. We want companies and teams to work as effectively and inspired as possible. This is why we built a platform which streamlines goal setting, enables autonomous teams and simplifies cross-department collaboration. We pride ourselves in building a product which is easy and fun to use.

We have an engineering team of around ten people. We have a good remote culture – some of us live in Munich, but we have people working elsewhere from Germany and Spain. In Spain, we can offer regular, unlimited employment contracts.

THE JOB

We are looking for a DataOps engineer (f/m/d) who will join our infrastructure team. You will work with a small but experienced, diverse and fun team of engineers. Some of the challenges you will face:

  • Improve and evolve our AWS cloud stack. (You’ll be working closely with our senior infrastructure engineer.)
  • Learn and take ownership of our DataOps stack. (Don’t worry, you don’t need to know all technologies beforehand – see below.)
  • Work with our data analysts and software engineers to enable them to develop, test, ship and debug great features.
  • Discuss and decide on your team’s priorities in our quarterly planning process – which we do in the Workpath product, obviously!
YOUR PROFILE
  • You know your way around a Linux/MacOS terminal, and have worked with Docker.
  • You have experience with AWS or another cloud vendor. (We're on AWS and use products like EKS, RDS, EC2.)
  • You can write solid SQL queries and have experience interacting with relational databases. (We use Postgres.)
  • You can put a working script together in Python or another programming language, and have used that skill to automate things.

The following skills are nice to have – if you know these, great. If not, you'll learn them on the job, also great!

  • Airflow, dbt, Metabase, DMS (That's our DataOps stack, and you would be asked to learn and gradually take ownership of these tools.)
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform

In terms of ways of working, we look for someone …

  • Scrappy (gets creative to get things working well enough)
  • Eager to learn and experiment (we're a small team covering a varied tech stack)
  • Used to remote work (because we’re a distributed team)
  • Who is a good team player and mentor (we'd love to learn from you!)
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Since work is a huge part of your life we want it to be interesting and fun. We work hard, we care for each other and always walk away satisfied. We constantly refine our approach and everyone has a say. If you like a challenge you will love it here.
  • Opportunity to develop along our technical or team leadership career paths.
  • A strong team and feedback culture, as well as collaboration in an agile working environment of mutual support and very flat hierarchies.
  • A lot of personal responsibility, autonomy and creative involvement in shaping our growth, check our Youtube Podcast and listen to our team members.
  • Good remote culture.
  • Competitive compensation in addition to benefits & perks such as mobility subsidy (ticket restaurante/transporte/guardería by Edenred), personal development budget and Urban Sports Club membership.
If you made it until here you probably want to talk to us. Hit the apply button.
