Our Opportunity:

The Chewy Studios Team is looking for a Digital Content Creator fluent in social media who can both create content and make it feel brand-appropriate. The role will serve as a core member of our Social and Programmatic marketing team, responsible for leading content development for Chewy’s social media pages including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and performance marketing channels. In this role, you’ll live and breathe social media and creative content, follow trends, and look to permeate culture, seeing that creative content through concept to execution. The successful candidate is motivated to make an impact, highly creative, engaged, curious, and passionate about social media and pop culture, and an exceptional storyteller.

A background shooting and editing of lo-fi, organic, UGC social video is a requirement. On a day-to-day basis, this person will attend creative brainstorms, ideate concepts, and shoot and edit social-first videos that be implemented across a variety of social channels. We are looking for an individual who has the drive and desire to make a big impact, who thrives at working with diverse teams to tackle big challenges, and who not only lives and breathes social media and communications but is passionate about pushing creative boundaries and measuring results. This role will report to the Creative Director, Social & Programmatic in Plantation, FL.

What you'll do:

• Create content for Chewy’s social media pages, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social platforms.
• Concept, shoot, and edit social-first photo and video assets to drive brand awareness and affinity.
• Capture and curate static and video assets that can feed our performance marketing channels.  
• Analyze and identify trends in social media and culture to activate against.
• Partner with studio teams to leverage existing resources and photo/video shoots as a curation platform for UGC-style social content.
• Service rapid turnaround times while capturing trending moments and delivering/receiving feedback.
• Creating emotional, impactful, trend, and culture-oriented content for Chewy and Chewy Brand.
• Work with a wide range and quality of video and static imagery - from a collection of photography to short video clips - and turn them into content assets built for individual platforms and audiences.
• Collaborate with our creative and strategy teams to create and manipulate pre-shot video, photography, social copy, gifs, short clips, streaming stories, etc.

What you'll need:

• 3+ years working in a creative social media content creation role.
• Must love working with pets and animals of all shapes and sizes.
• Highly creative with proven examples of social media content created for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social platforms.
• Experience writing social-first copy (headlines, caption copy, post copy)
• Can shoot + edit natively in the app for various social platforms. After Effects and Adobe Premier experience preferred.
• The ideal candidate has been directly responsible for creating brand social content at an agency, production company, or publisher.
• Comfortable being on camera and flying while speaking.
• Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, reacting with sound judgment and often without specific direction.
• Proven ability to develop social creative is a must – responsible for taking briefs and turning them into brand social assets.
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and crafting engaging videos for brands.
• Exemplary time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met.
• An ad school or liberal arts (4-year) degree is preferred.
