Responsibilities:

  • Be the subject matter expert for expense related systems, processes, and programs
  • Recommend and establish expense processes in line with industry best practices
  • Facilitate live training sessions and webinars to train employees on policies, tools, and resources
  • Provide excellent customer service by resolving issues and/or answering questions related to expense 
  • Monitor and approve expense reports, as needed, in accordance with company policies
  • Recommend enhancements to existing controls to reduce the risk of fraud, duplicate reimbursements and inefficient processes/controls
  • Ensure controls are in place and consistently applied in line with recommended internal SOX practices
  • Design and develop T&E related metrics and reports to inform and influence the decisions of business leaders
  • Collaborate across the company regularly to ensure stakeholder alignment, transparency, and systems integration
  • Develop and nurture relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on the current state of expense technology and be aware of major changes that impact the marketplace or expense programs in general 
  • Identify problems or inconsistencies in the tools and develop appropriate recommendations for resolution
  • Maintain departmental documentation
  • Seek opportunities for synergy, improvement, simplification and automation of existing processes and reporting across T&E and pursue continuous process improvement
  • Create detailed plans for configuration changes/enhancements and test thoroughly for accuracy before moving to production 
  • Other miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned by manager 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field or relevant experience
  • 5+ years experience with Concur’s Travel & Expense configuration, Intelligence Reporting, and administration
  • Extensive knowledge of expense best practices
  • Experience with data analysis and process flow
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Experience with Google Suite preferred
  • Strong detail-orientation, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience understanding and documenting technical requirements and appropriate solutions
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions related to corporate policies and handle sensitive information
